Last night, we stayed at the youth hostel. We had a room for three. I was with Mathis and Antoine. This morning, when going to breakfast, I pressed the button on the hot chocolate machine, and it got stuck!I filled up cups and a pitcher, and the chocolate milk kept flowing and flowing… until the machine was empty! I didn’t drink it all…

Today was the public open day. I had an “amphicabine” session to warm up, and then I welcomed visitors at the entrance to the FFA stands, seeking some shade as I was starting to get overheated (red-faced!). Approximately 5000 people came. For some, it was an introduction to aerobatics (my turn will come later). Cap 10 got the crowd going in the air. It’s an aircraft that I know well, as I’ve flown in it with Michel Lerussé, my aerobatics instructor at ACRIV.

The Noratlas arrived yesterday and is attracting admiration from everyone. Other vintage aircraft also made the journey:
- A DHC-1 “Chipmunk” (low-wing)
- A Fairchild UC-61K (high-wing)

After the air club closed to the public, a lottery was held to go for a flight in the DC-3. Luckily, the last spot on board was for me. I boarded at 7:50 PM for a flight of about twenty minutes.

That flight was magical. Since then, I’ve been wearing a blissful smile that can’t be erased. I’m going to go to sleep at the B&B like this…
